Toronto-Dominon Bank (TSX:TD) has launched a free TD mobile app for BlackBerry and Android devices, the bank said Wednesday.
The new apps make TD the first financial services provider in Canada with mobile apps for the most in-demand smartphones available on the market, the bank says.
“Whether you’re a BlackBerry, iPhone or Android fan, we’re making mobile banking convenient and comfortable for everyone,” says Joan Dal Bianco, vice president, online channel, TD.
“Now our customers, including thousands of small business owners, can pay bills, check account balances, and find a nearby TD branch or ATM, anytime, anywhere, on any of these mobile devices.”
The TD mobile app for BlackBerry and Android offers:
– A North American TD Locator to help find TD branches and ATMs in both Canada and the U.S.;
– TD Canada Trust internet banking for personal and small business banking accounts;
– Easy connection to TD Waterhouse Investment representatives;
– The ability to connect to a TD Insurance specialist for instant quotes on home, auto, life and health insurance or to seek advice on how to file claims. The app also includes an accident toolkit to record details in the event of an auto accident.
Wednesday’s launch builds on the existing TD mobile app line-up for iPhone and iPod touch, which made its debut in April 2010.
